As part of "Mashable Explains", Mashable interviewed several of its employees and talked with experts discussing their experiences with nightmares and the phenomena of dreaming that may be a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I and several members of the creative team created their own distinctly animated segments set to each different dream described for the larger video piece.
For video producer Mark Stetson's segment, I combined stock, pre-rendered footage, and traditionally drawn and animated visuals to recreate his surreal confrontation with a tiger.
